She also started posting to online forums, offering any help she could while including a link back to her blog. She also posted links on Facebook back to her blog several times each day. According to everything she read online, this should have worked.

But it didn’t.

Mary was working her regular job, plus another 6 hours a day, with little to show for it.

The main problem was that Mary was trying to promote products on internet marketing, yet she didn’t have a reputation as a successful internet marketer, and her Facebook friends had no interest in internet marketing.
